Dustfeast

Feeding on the dust that covers dreams
And still hungry in a thousand ways
Bleeding in the colors of passion
Right back into a colorblind world
Reading spirits of future gravestones
The psychic statues mocking the words
Pleading for a better way to speak
A new voice -  silent suffocation

Thinking in a strange foreign language
Without words or pictures or meaning
Drinking a bottle of acid rain
So the Earth will have the final laugh
Sinking like Atlantis, forgotten
Drowning in a tidal wave of ink
Shrinking away with indecision
A new choice - a forked tongue and a kiss

Breaking the backbones of the spineless
A new society of snakes and slugs
Making self destruction beautiful
With a paintbrush of weeping needles
Taking the malevolence of man
And crushing it into a diamond
Shaking the dust from the nightmare machine
A feast of diamonds, destruction and dust
